Greater Kudu

The Greater Kudu is an African antelope with impressive horns that twists on itself, with V-shaped and can reach 1.25 meters long.

It is the third largest antelope in size and can measure 1.5 meters in height and 2.20 meters in length. Males and females are very different, and the first difference is the weight, about 320 kg for males and 220 kg in quite smaller females.

Gran Kudu

It has a very distinctive coat, grayish brown, and cross its spine from 7 to 10 vertical white stripes on each side. It also has a sort of mane that grows in the center of the neck and chest and also has the characteristic white spot below the eyes and called "hieroglyphics".

Greater Kudu lives in the wooded savannahs of East and South Africa, in the bushes, and is a nocturnal animal, so is not easy to find it.

For many years, due to its impressive horns, was chased by hunters who wanted the trophy. Fortunately, kudu population continues to increase.
