With this idyllic safari of 17 days and 16 nights you will enjoy a complete tour by the parks and reserves of Kenya and Tanzania, taking the opportunity to visit some tribes and identify very different habitats along the journey, also visiting lake Victoria, the largest lake in Africa. After this safari, you can say you know Kenya and Tanzania like the palm of your hand! In addition, we will cross the line of Ecuador, where we will stop to observe the accuracy of the curious effect of Coriolis. In Kenya we will start at its capital, Nairobi, to head north later to Samburu Reserve. After that, we will go to watch the spectacle of Lake Nakuru, and then to the great Masai Mara reserve. Once we move beyond the endless plains, we will drive to the stunning Lake Naivasha, with its large population of hippos. Amboseli, known as the Lake of dust, will be our last stop in Kenya. After that we will cross the Tanzanian border and head to the green oasis of Lake Manyara. To get in further into Tanzania we will go to the see the high concentration of animals present on Serengeti, and after that we will pay attention to the heavy fishing activity by residents of Lake Victoria, the largest lake in Africa. We will return to Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest intact caldera. And finally we will visit Tarangire with its famous elephant herds across the plains.

Day 1: NAIROBI

Arrival in Nairobi. Reception at the Jomo Kenyatta airport and transfer to the hotel. Depending on the time of arrival you will stay at the hotel, or if you arrive in the morning you will have free time in the hotel or the possibility of optional activities, such as visiting the Museum of Karem Blixen (Out of Africa), the elephant orphanage, giraffe center, and the possibility to visit the Nairobi National Park, just 10 km from the city. Boulevard Hotel, Red Court, Jacaranda or similar.

Day 2: SAMBURU

Early departure to Samburu, where the desert landscape of northern Kenya begins. During the trip we will go around Mount Kenya, the second highest mountain in Africa. Arrive at lunch, after which we will make our first and desired safari. Samburu Sopa Lodge or Samburu Lodge. Optional Samburu Shaba Lodge, Ashnil Samburu Camp, Larsens Camp.

Day 3: SAMBURU

We will go early in search of animals, as the sunrise and sunset are the best times of day for sighting. During the day animals seek shelter under trees to protect themselves from the heat. In Samburu we will see animals that are only found here, such as the reticulated giraffe, oryx, the gerenuc, Grevy's zebra, the Somali ostrich and many other animals that will continue amazing you, as the desired leopard, lion, elephant, monkeys and warthogs among many others. We will see different landscapes, some very deserted and others with more vegetation due to the presence of the Ewaso Ngiro River. Samburu Sopa Lodge or Samburu Lodge. Day 4: LAKE NAKURU

We will go after breakfast to Lake Nakuru, where we will arrive at lunchtime. In the afternoon, we will make our safari, which surprised us because the beauty of the lake and its pinkish tones due to the flock of flamingos that inhabit it and give worldwide fame to this ornithological paradise where we can see over 400 species of birds. Nakuru is also a White Rhino sanctuary and home for many animals including lions, leopards, buffaloes, antelopes, zebras, baboons and the characteristic hyrax. Lake Nakuru Lodge, Maili Saba Camp. Day 5: MASAI MARA

Depart to Masai Mara, considered by many the best game reserve in the world. We will arrive for lunch at the place where thousands of animals roam for its vast meadows, attracted by its pasture and permanent water. This place has every year the Great Migration where wildebeest, zebras and gazelles are trying to cross the Mara River in search of better pastures, under the watchful eyes of crocodiles waiting for the feast. Mara Sopa Lodge, Mara Leisure Camp, Oloshaiki Camp. Day 6: MASAI MARA

Full day in Masai Mara, where we will visit different areas of the reserve and we will approach the Mara river trying to see the famous crossing. We have the possibility of a balloon ride or visit a Maasai manyatta, where masai people will share with us various activities of their daily life. Mara Sopa Lodge, Mara Leisure Camp, Oloshaiki Camp. Day 7: LAKE NAIVASHA

After breakfast in Masai Mara we head to Naivasha, one of the quintessential lakes of the Rift Valley, populated by hippos that we can see from a peaceful boat ride. We will have the possibility to go to Crescent Island, where we will have a walking safari surrounded by giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, gazelle ... We may also visit the Park Hell's Gate, where you can make walking and cycling safaris surrounded by wildlife. Lake Naivasha Country Club or Naivasha Sopa Lodge or similar.

Day 8: AMBOSELI

We will depart to Amboseli, with the background of the majestic Kilimanjaro with its snowcapped peaks during much of the journey. We can see almost desert plain extends, under which groundwater streams flow into swamps where splash multitude of animals looking for a refreshing swim. Tortilis Camp, Tawi Lodge, Amboseli Sopa Lodge, Amboseli Sentrim Camp, Kibo Safari Camp.

Day 9: AMBOSELI

Full day in this park where the elephant is the most prevalent, appearing in large families that cross the plains. We can also find the lion, leopard, hippos, antelopes, wildebeest, zebra and a variety of birds. Tortilis Camp, Tawi Lodge, Amboseli Sopa Lodge, Amboseli Sentrim Camp, Kibo Safari Camp.

Day 10: MANYARA

We will move to Lake Manyara, which undergoes drastic transformations throughout the year, since its appearance changes from rainy season to dry. We will have the opportunity to live during our stay in the park with the famous tree-climbing lions, plus elephants, leopards, hippos, giraffes, water buffalo and over 400 species of birds. Lake Manyara Wildlife Lodge, Migunga Tented Camp. Day 11: SERENGETI

Depart to Serengeti, unmatched for its spectacular beauty and for having the highest concentration of wild animals anywhere in the world. Arrive at lunchtime and in the afternoon we will have a safari through this natural extension of the Masai Mara reserve. There are no borders of both countries in the reserves so they are ignored by animals in search of fresh pastures. Place of the famous migration of millions of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles in one of the most breathtaking spectacles of nature between both parks. Ikoma Safari Camp. Day 12: SERENGETI

Full day visiting the Serengeti National Park, crossing breathtaking plains and making morning and afternoon safaris trying to complete the sighting of the Big Five, the five largest African animals: lion, buffalo, elephant, rhino and leopard addition to other wild animals that inhabit these plains. Ikoma Safari Camp. Day 13: LAKE VICTORIA

We will cross Serengeti park and head to Lake Victoria, the largest lake in Africa, in the area of Speke Bay. We may boating on the lake, and even visit some islands, one of the most important is the island of Rubondo. On this island you can find deserted beaches and lush forests full of life that will leave anyone with an open mouth. Speke Bay Lodge. 

Day 14: LAKE VICTORIA – NGORONGORO

In the morning we can visit a fishing village in Lake Victoria, where we will know their way of life and fishing methods. Then, safari in our way to Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact crater in the world. It has an overwhelming beauty, and abundance of wildlife permanently resident in the crater. During the tour you could visit Ol Duvai Gorge where many fossils and tools of early hominids have been found. Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge, Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge, Crater Forest Tented Camp, Flamingo Safari Lodge. Day 15: NGORONGORO

With the first rays of sun descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a volcanic crater 600 meters deep and more than 20 km in diameter that contains the biggest "permanent" concentration of wildlife in Africa. Full day safari, where we can take a picnic lunch by the pool of hippos. The crater is a scene of singular beauty, incomparable to any other habitat, nestled in the crater of an extinct volcano and declared World Heritage Site. Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge, Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge, Crater Forest Tented Camp, Flamingo Safari Lodge. Day 16: TARANGIRE

We will drive to the Tarangire National Park, known as the Garden of baobabs, famous for its scenery, the Tarangire River and its huge herds of elephants, and large groups of them can be seen cooling off in the river. In these low and warm lands we can also see lions, giraffes, buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, impalas, zebras and other less common species such as lesser kudu, oryx and sable antelope. It is the park that has a higher concentration of animals in Tanzania behind Serengeti. Maramboi Camp, Tarangire Sopa Lodge, Tarangire Safari Lodge, Whistling Thorn Tented Camp.

Day 17: ARUSHA/NAIROBI

We will leave the park and drive back to the airport where you will take the flight back to your home country with the feeling of bringing a piece of Kenya and Tanzania in your heart.
