Area: Northwest Tanzania

English

Lake Victoria is surrounded by Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. It has an area of about 70,000 km2, is one of the main sources of the Nile and is the largest lake in Africa and the second in the world.

On the part of Tanzania, one of the main ports is Mwanza. Depending on the area where we stay , we can do different activities , but some common of them are visits to fishing villages, where people kindly bring us to their way of life , boating on the lake, and even visit some islands, one of the most important is Rubondo island. On this island you can find deserted beaches, lush forests full of life that leave anyone with open mouth ... Also, here inhabit many birds in which we highlight some species such as the African parrot, kingfishers, herons and storks and where also find species such as chimpanzees, hippos, impalas, giant crocodiles and otters among other species of interest.
