The Serengeti National Park covers an enormous area, 13,000 km2, making it easy to get an idea of the amount of accommodation available. One of them is Serengeti Simba Lodge.
This magnificent lodge is situated on the highest point of a hill with endless views over the plains of the Serengeti. The Serengeti migration, with millions of ungulates, happens every year twice by these plains, approximately during the months of June and October, and is clearly visible from the privileged location of Serengeti Simba Lodge.
Upon arrival at the lodge we receive a warm welcome with refreshing towels and a palatable fruit juice.
Then we go make the check in to the common area, built on a rocky outcropping or kopje, which means it is fully integrated with the environment. The common area has the reception, lounge, bar, dining room, viewing deck, swimming pool with sun deck and campfire, and also has internet access.
Upon registration at the lodge, we will be lead to the rooms, which can be of two types, and decorated with local fabrics and wood furniture.
- One type are 15 unique desing tents, combining the adventure of a tent with the safety, luxury and comfort of a permanent structure, with a private terrace to enjoy the panoramic views.
- Another one, Stone House, has rooms with magnificent views across the Serengeti savannah to the Grumeti River.
Once we've seen our room and dropped our belongings, we can prepare to discover a lodge that wonders any traveler. From the viewing deck you can enjoy stunning views of the Serengeti plains. Views are also admirable from the endless pool. Do not miss the sunset from here!

Serengeti Simba Lodge is a superior accommodation with a relative high price, but can be enjoyed in low season (April and May) for a really good price. Take advantage of them if you go in this time!
